Single Ginkgo Leaf Silver Necklace

Single Ginkgo leaf one off piece off fine silver jewellery. This is a free form shape created by impressing the Ginkgo leaf into the silver.

This piece is made from silver clay that had the ginkgo leaf pressed into with the silver creating a natural shape in this process. The piece is then torched fired where the binders burn away and the silver molecules bind together, this leaves fine silver which has a higher silver content than sterling silver. I then finish by polishing around the impressed leaves so this is shiny as a contrast to the detail of the leaves. It has then been attached to an adjustable sterling silver chain so the necklace itself measures approximately 41cm to 45cm. Silver pendant shape measures approximately 2.5cm x 2cm.
