Square Gingko silver earrings

A pair of unique silver earring impressed with a perfect tiny ginkgo leaf.

This piece is made from silver clay that had the leaves pressed into with the silver which I have then cut into a square shape. The piece is than torched fired where the binders burn away and the silver molecules bind together, this leaves fine silver which has a higher silver content than sterling silver. I then finish by polishing around the impressed leaves so this is shiny as a contrast to the detail of the leaves. I have attached them to sterling silver hooks on one of the corners so they hang in a kite style. They measure approximately 3cm in length and 2cm wide.
