Acorn necklace in fine silver

This solid silver acorn is made using a cast I have made from a real acorn. I use silver clay in the mould as it takes the detail of the original acorn really well. Once the clay has dried I use a hand blow torch to fire the clay, burning off the binder and keeping it glowing red hot - this bind the silver molecules forming fine silver. Silver clay is made using recycled silver from the photographic industry. I then clean it up and polish up the acorn but leave the cup more textured.

The acorn represents strength and growth.

These are supplied on a 18 inch recycled silver curb chain, if you would like a 20 inch chain instead let me know.
